What is Sparrow Transfer?
Sparrow Transfer is a free app for iOS and Android that shares your photos and videos live, straight from your phone to the people you invite, anywhere in the world. Your photos and videos are never uploaded or stored.
Are my photos uploaded to a server or the cloud?
No. Photos and videos travel directly from your phone to each viewer over an encrypted connection. A small backend only handles sign-in, connecting devices and syncing session details. It never carries your media.
Do we need to be on the same Wi-Fi?
No. Host and viewers can be in different cities or countries on completely different networks. An internet connection is all you need.
How many photos can I share at once?
Start a session with 1,000 or more photos and viewers see them almost instantly. Previews stream as viewers scroll; full-resolution files transfer only when a photo is tapped.
What happens when I end a session?
The sharing stops. Because nothing was uploaded or stored, there is no feed and no archive left behind. Viewers keep only the photos they chose to save while you were live. Both sides need to be online at the same time, just like a call.
